The Total Rewards Supervisor reports to the Total Rewards Manager. The Total Rewards Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day work for the employee benefits, leave of absence, accommodations, car fleet, relocation and RL Cares programs. This includes partnering with the Total Rewards Manager to develop and implement a comprehensive benefits package that meets the needs of both the employer and the employees. The Total Rewards Supervisor will monitor the various plans and policies to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company objectives. They will handle day-to-day requests and will serve as subject matter expert for a team of Total Rewards specialists. They will also stay informed of industry changes and new developments to help the business keep up with best practice standards.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Administer and serve as subject matter expert on the employee benefits package, including health, life, disability, and retirement plans
- Administer and serve as subject matter expert for additional company benefits such as executive physicals, our Red Lobster Cares program, car allowances and vehicle fleet
- May participate in the design of benefit programs
- Serve as business partner to HR team and company leaders for Total Rewards. Participate in creating training materials and leading training and/ or orientation sessions.
- Manage relationships with vendors, such as leave of absence providers, insurance vendors and retirement vendors
- Analyze total rewards program data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvements
- Interpret and apply total rewards plan policies. Make recommendations for improvements
- Monitor compliance with laws and regulations related to benefits
- Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors and providers and ensure procedures are followed to minimize costs
- Equip business leaders and HR with knowledge, skill and capability Total Rewards programs and processes
- Manage day-to-day benefits administration, including billing, enrollment, and changes
- Design and execute employee communications relating to benefits
- Respond to inquiries, troubleshoot benefit issues, and resolve conflicts
- Serve as a subject matter expert to a team of Benefits Specialists
- Promote team effectiveness, provide clear direction, set and monitor high standards of excellence, proactively and fairly resolve performance problems
- Communicate positive expectations when developing others, readily share knowledge and advice, provide candid, balanced, and regular feedback
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in benefits administration or human resources.
- 3+ years of experience with benefits systems and benefits vendors.
- Strong knowledge of employee benefits regulations and best practices
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
