POSITION REQUIREMENTS: This is an on-site position Monday – Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Fridays and is based at Red Lobster’s corporate office in Orlando, FL. 

 

Job Overview

 

The Supervisor, Revenue Accounting plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of revenue-related financial activities while supporting business decision-making through analysis, collaboration, and process improvement. This position oversees critical accounting functions, provides financial insights to leadership, and helps drive operational excellence across multiple business areas.

 

Success in this role requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to build effective relationships across Finance, Operations, and IT. The Supervisor leads one direct report and serves as a trusted partner in identifying opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and support organizational goals.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop one direct report by establishing clear expectations, providing ongoing feedback, and supporting professional growth.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee key revenue accounting processes and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of issues.
  • Review and approve accounting entries and adjustments to support accurate financial reporting.
  • Analyze financial results, trends, and variances, providing meaningful insights and recommendations to Finance leadership.
  • Maintain forecasting models and communicate the financial impact of business activities to stakeholders.
  • Monitor operational and financial trends, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend actions to improve performance and controls.
  • Oversee fraud prevention, continuously refining fraud rules that balance risk management with positive guest experience.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, IT, and Operations, to support business initiatives, system enhancements, and process improvements.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for escalated inquiries, ensuring timely resolution and a high level of service to internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure documentation and processes are maintained in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, streamline workflows, and enhance the effectiveness of accounting and financial processes.
  • Support special projects, strategic initiatives, and ad hoc analyses as needed.

Required Experience & Technical Skills

 

  • 5+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting roles.
  • Strong analytical and accounting skills with proven ability to interpret and translate data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong skills in data retrieval and financial modeling.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with ability to lead initiatives independently and deliver accurate, timely results.
  • Proven ability to analyze, prioritize, and solve problems effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience leading, coaching, or developing employees.

Education

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus.

Additional Qualifications

 

  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal control frameworks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization and third‑party partners.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage high-volume workloads and meet deadlines, especially during month-end close.
  • Self-starter with strong follow-through, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Customer-service mindset with a collaborative and proactive approach.
  • Experience working with credit card payment processing or in the restaurant industry is a plus.
