The Vice President, Strategic Sourcing & Product Management reports to the Chief Supply Chain Officer and will lead and develop end to end sourcing, distribution and product management solutions for Red Lobster’s Supply Chain. This individual will be responsible for leading a large functional Orlando based team across multiple direct and indirect sourcing categories, distribution, and demand / supply planning functions. This leader will increase supply chain effectiveness, inventory efficiency, and will direct execution of category-related responsibilities including strategic planning, food quality, cost control, operational efficiency, productivity, people development and support of our restaurants.

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads a team of product category managers responsible for sourcing all commodity-based products, land-based proteins, perishable foods and indirect supplies
  • Leads the execution of Red Lobster’s distribution network strategy
  • Leads a demand and supply planning team responsible for forecasting product usage and managing continuous supply of products throughout the Red Lobster distribution network
  • Collaborates regularly with leaders in Restaurant Operations, Total Quality, Finance, Marketing, Facilities, and IT and owns external relationships with suppliers and selected service providers
  • Successfully leads and manages change, drives process improvement, and demonstrates the ability to deliver results in a large-scale business
  • Designs initiatives and develops strategies to increase the effectiveness of the Supply Chain function
  • Uses high level strategic thinking to develop comprehensive solutions that provide large scale impacts to the Supply Chain; represents Supply Chain team relative to IT initiatives and Supply Chain data integration requirements
  • Builds plans for sustainability and long-term success of Supply Chain functional goals and initiatives
  • Reviews financial performance, safety issues, team performance and development, and service and inventory levels to ensure optimal functioning of the Supply Chain
  • Effectively manages and executes changes needed to drive business process improvements in functional areas

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or related field
  • 10+ years Supply Chain experience
  • Excellent executive communication skills

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master's Degree in Supply Chain, business or related field preferred
  • Professional certifications in Project/Supply Chain/ Procurement/Contract Management/Process
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence large complex teams
  • Financial leadership role within a multibillion-dollar business
  • Global leadership experience in Supply Management/Sourcing/Procurement/Demand Planning
